Tuan Haji Ramli bin Ismail began his career as a Quantity Surveyor Assistant in 1989 with Abdullah Atan Associates. In 1990, he joined RME Sdn. Bhd., a Class 'A' Construction Contractor Company in Terengganu, as a Quantity Surveyor. From 1994 to 2005, he joined Pembinaan ANZ Sdn. Bhd. as a Project Manager.

Currently, Tuan Haji Ramli bin Ismail also sits as the Director of RBI Properties Sdn. Bhd., Walibina Development Sdn. Bhd., and Darul Iman Development Sdn. Bhd.
